National Security Service Provides Guard Services for Megan’s House Event

Lowell, Mass.—As part of its far-reaching commitment to corporate philanthropy, National Security Service (NSS) provided important support last month for the Megan’s House Foundation’s 2nd Annual Golf Tournament.

Experts say that more than 21 million Americans struggle with substance abuse, a figure that includes about two million people abusing prescription drugs and nearly 600,000 heroin users.

Following the golf contest, the group hosted a luncheon headlined by the tournament’s Honorary Chairman, State Representative Tom Golden, a longtime leader in Massachusetts in responding to the crisis of opioid addiction. Golden also played the role of auctioneer and good-humored arm-twister for the day’s culminating feature, an auction of donated goods and services and raffle items.
